My ignorance is most certainly bliss

Yes, yes, yes, I’ve gone quiet. It’s been one of those things I think about on the daily but couldn’t quite bring myself to admitting. It’s not even that I have a good excuse, like stress, pregnancy or cold feet, it’s quite embarrassing really and it goes a bit like this..

For as long as I can remember, I’ve instilled a certain way of life that seems to come into my daily practise at the worst possible times. Strange coincidence? I think not.

At first, it’s pure avoidance. It’s like my little head completely stops computing certain thoughts and instead of finishing off wedding invites, I decide it’s a great time to start a new hobby or I plan my next holiday.

It takes a few weeks before tiny little thoughts spring into my head like small rays of guilty sunshine.

It was only last week when I realised enough was enough after I completely occupied my brain by reading 4 x BIG books in the space of 4 days. That’s always my cracking point, I read, like a crazy person.

So here I am. I’m back, it’s 2018 and it’s all new year, new me (I haven’t heard that before). And while Bill and I are already planning our next holiday to Sri Lanka, I’m back on the wedding train. And yes, I can finally say “I’m getting married this year” with the count down in T-minus 6 months.

So what’s in store for the next few months?

Personally I need to get fit and get my tummy to where it needs to be. I did a cleanse towards the end of last year and was super happy with how I was feeling. Now I just need to maintain it.

For the wedding, it’s all about finalising those finishing touches. Get the lads sorted for their outfits and sort out our decor, menus and flowers. Perhaps I’ll even try on the heels I bought 6 months ago? Or maybe I’ll leave that for a few more months 😂😂

It’s going to be a jam packed 6 months, it’s starting to become seriously real and I have a funny feeling the next few months are going to fly. I can’t wait to share what’s coming with you. I’m already half way through my next one, bridesmaids beware!
